Pigeon biset

Le Pigeon biset (Columba livia) est une espèce d'oiseaux de la famille des Columbidés. C'est l'espèce qui comprend le pigeon domestique et la plupart des pigeons des villes1 mais qui subsiste également comme oiseau sauvage dans son milieu naturel original : les falaises et autres milieux rocheux. Le type domestique est différent du type sauvage.

L'espèce (Columba livia) a donné naissance à de nombreuses races élevées pour la chair, l'ornement ou la course (pigeon voyageur).
